Designer Collaborative Center to Open

Boise, Idaho - - - - - The new Designer Collaborative has announced plans to repurpose a Northend interior design firm's offices for short and long term shared and private office and studio space. The building known as the Armstrong Building is taking on a new identity as the Designer Collaborative. Located at the corner of North 13th and Fort Streets in Boise's Northend neighborhood, the new Designer Collaborative Center has been owned for over 20 years by Nancy Armstrong and Rock Jones. Nancy and Rock were the principals of Armstrong Planning and Design. APD is best known for their commercial and healthcare interior design services for clients like Saint Luke's Regional Medical Centers across Idaho, as well as project internationally.

The building space was designed specifically for designers and has been used by companies like marketing and design firm Temel-West and architect Stan Cole during the time that APD occupied the upstairs space. Located in the heart of Boise's Northend neighborhood, it is close to downtown and Hyde Park, the Boise Co-op and restaurants. It shares the area with other historic buildings and schools. With views from upstairs and downstairs of Boise's foothills, Northend trees and more, it is an ideal location for a progressive design studio.

The top floor includes great interior features and a mix of open office spaces and private, studio-sized spaces. It is well appointed with high-end carpeting and floor coverings throughout, architectural details and touches like glass block to disperse natural light throughout. The office and studio program includes administrative support, high-speed Internet access, cat. 6 network, servers, several laser printer, telephone system and large, custom workstations and storage. Common area amenities include a large conference room, storage space, work rooms and a reception seating area. All offices can be provided completely furnished.
